Movement Day 2012 in New York City
Historic global gathering of Christian leaders collaborating for spiritual and social change in their communities
More than 1,400 ministry and marketplace leaders from 300 cities came together on September 27, 2012 at the Hilton New York Hotel, NYC, to participate in the 3rd annual Movement Day Congress, hosted by The New York City Leadership Center (NYCLC) and Redeemer City to City. Representing Christian ministries, churches, businesses, seminaries, universities and foundations, these catalytic leaders convened to collaborate on urban ministry and leadership, to hear from the best Christian thinkers, to study the best models of urban Gospel Movements, and to find new ways to reach and renew metropolitan communities.
“I am extraordinarily grateful for the leaders who gathered this year for Movement Day,” expressed Dr. Mac Pier, president of The NYCLC. “The conference grew 40% from 2011, which represents an accelerating passion to impact cities where the majority of people now live. We expect broad scale collaborative efforts to emerge in dozens of cities here and across the globe in the weeks and months ahead.”
